Braintree is the promotion of approximately 150 acres for the creation of around 1,500 new homes and some localised employment.

Planning was approved for 120 dwellings and the site was subsequently was sold to a national housebuilder.

A new application is currently pending for 74 dwellings, being 100% affordable.
