This alternative new scheme at land East of Westfield Avenue and South of Kingfield Road in Woking is proposed by GolDev to be a sympathetic, high quality and regenerative scheme in Kingfield.
The proposal is made up of two neighbouring sites, which are currently occupied by either redundant previously developed land or residential dwellings.
In its current iteration, the project would deliver:
A total of 168 residential units made up of flats and townhouses;
A mix of unit sizes from studio to 3 bed units, with the majority being 2 bed or larger;
A maximum height of 6 storeys, stepping down to a range of 3, 4 and 5 storey elements;
Provision of a retail unit on the junction between Westfield Avenue and Kingfield Road;
Off-street cycle storage and car parking for residents.
The scheme is also designed in a way to enable future enhancements to Kingfield Stadium (such as an improved 2,000 seat West Stand).
GolDev is working on submitting an Outline Planning Application, in which matters such as the principle of development, height, scale, access and massing are considered.
This application does not seek approval for more detailed matters such as design and landscaping, which will be considered in any future Reserved Matters Planning Application. Therefore, the design set out is indicative, but gives an indication of what the development will look like.
